Arrggh someone broke in and tried to steal my Rex
I was making breakfast around 4 this morning and heard a noise outside, I didn't think much of it but I of course walked over to the window to make sure the Rex was ok. All looked fine.
This morning on my way out to go to work, I discovered what really happened, the ******* thief smashed the window, wrecked the trim, possibly damaged the metal around the door and tried to steal the car.
Of course myself being paranoid I have removed several important bits of the electrical and fuel systems so the car cannot be started by anyone but me and the needed parts (Which I carry in a bag with me at all times!)
In the off chance that the not so clever thief reads these forums and decides to return, I am a registered gun owner with firearms LOCKED in the house, if I see you near here ever again you will be executed, no exceptions. Car thieves are lower than terrorists.
I've got a bullet meant for your brain waiting car thieves. And now I'm watching!!
Gah.

You need to have this thread deleted. If he comes back and you do shoot him and he dies, it's pre-meditated murder because you've posted that you plan on doing so. Contact a mod and have this thread taken care of.

Also, never EVER shoot someone with a reloaded round. Always use factory loads for home defense. That is also considered in some states a pre-meditated crime in you reload a suped up hollow point and shoot someone with it. Even if you have a factory load with the same identical specs as your reloads, the fact that you loaded it changes things.
Welcome to america, where the innocent are guilty until they can prove otherwise, and the criminals have more rights than the law abiding citizens do.

Oh, and only cops can get away with shooting someone to stop them, if you or I ever shoot someone to just stop them, we will probably get sued and end up in jail as well because of the BS story they are their attorney will bring to court.
If you are seriously in danger and it's come to the point where you have no choice but to either die or defend yourself with lethal force....... you better kill them. Dead people can't lie.

thats why if you ever shoot anyone kill them. Then its only your story, you can say whatever, he was comming at you, he had a knife (insert knife in hand) blah blah blah and theres no counter story that he makes up.

It's dark like Poe.
If you're going to defend yourself, go for the kill. I agree with BigJim on that much. But planting evidence and doctoring a crime scene are pretty serious crimes in and of themselves.
The way I see it, and when you buy and register a gun and/or practice techniques to end a life, you need to consider this, if you're going to kill someone, you need to be prepared to pay the consequences. At the very least, we're talking about the need for a defense lawyer. $$$ unless you know someone. At worst, you could be found guilty of anything from manslaughter to second degree murder. You could do time. That's a fact. We live in a society that, it could be argued, does more to protect the criminal than the victim. If you're going to pay the price, and you might, make sure it was worth it.
Don't be stupid if the law doesn't protect your right to defend property. That's why we get insurance. Be sure your coverage is up to date and calm down. Killing a person over the assumption that they're going to steal your car can be a REAL problem unless you get a jury of your RX7Club peers.
