I was wondering if we could get any pics of the 240's roll bar installed. Please let me know if you are even sure that Kirk makes them...if not, that would suck. If you could verify any of this and send a pic, it would help a lot!!! If not though, I will call Monday. He and I both really want to get bars bad and we would both save on shipping since they could send 2 bars to my house at the same time.
Thanks,
Craig

okay, I called and have some more info. The main thing I found out is that the prices did indeed go up so right now our price is lower than anyone elses and it will ONLY BE IN EFFECT UNTIL MARCH 12 so if we want to save about $100 we NEED to get it ordered before then.

They make the 240 bar for 95+ 240s. She didnt have a whole lot of info on it but they have a great reputation so I'd assume it will be great. The price is the same as the FD

I confirmed yet again that the Miata bar is indeed 99 glass top compatible in the 4 pt roll bar and 6 pt cage but is not compatible in the full cage with halo.

She said some people have called for pictures of the FD bins and she said she does not have any pictures of it in this trim. They pretty much depend on people sending back pictures of their install and since most of the people they work with closely are teams they dont get to see the bin-installed bar very often due to race legallity issues. She assured me that the 4 pt behind the seat is perfectly comfortable but if you want to remove the cross bar that inhibits the passenger recline function that can be added for $55 and you can remove the cross bar whenever you want.

If this isnt finished by March 12 I'm not going to order a bar now b/c I cant afford that price but I'll pass this on to someone else if they want.

The only definite orders are as follows:

apexkw - 1 bar
COsborne - 1 bar

need 3 more bars

Like I said before, I am a definite order. When you go to order them, PM me, and I will send the money where ever it needs to be sent. I haven't made up my mind on which bar I want, but now that I know that the crossbar can be made removable, the choice is getting easier. One way or another, I WILL DEFINITELY BUY A BAR at this price. So thatr makes only 2 more.

I am also a definite. I will call my friend today (240) and see if he has the money. If not, I am still definitely getting one either way. I am not going to pass up this opportunity. Just keep me updated. I will probably know today about my friend...tomorrow at the latest. Thanks for all the info COsborne!

I've been following this thread since it started, and you can definetly put me down for one.

I'm looking for a 2" unit with the removable cross bar that you mentioned, so just to make sure the price would be:

2" 4pt ($350) + removable cross bar ($55) - dicount ($100) = $305?

Or would it be:
$335 + $55 - $54 discount = $336

Sorry, I've just seen a few conflicting prices within the thread. Tell me how much to pay and I'll pay it, lol.

I wasn't planning on ordering one for several months, but for the sake of the group buy I'll go ahead and get it now. I've already put the money aside so I'm 100% on this.

1 3/4" 4 pt bar - $265
or
2" 4 pt bar - $281

+$55 if you want the removable cross piece

+ shipping (about $65 and you can fit 2 bars on a pallet)

Sounds good! Thanks for the clarification.

Will that shipping estimate apply to a residential address?

No, it will be higher for residential even though these don't require a liftgate Just ship it to wherever you work.

Yeah, thats what I though, just figured I'd ask. I work in a place thats fairly well into back roads, so most shipping companies consider it "residential"

I mentioned selling mine off the cuff earlier on in the thread, the offer is now formal:

If you are close by, come pick up, and you'll save a few $$ on shipping.

Carry on...

I would really like to order one, but would like to see what it looks like with the one that mounts in the bins. I just have too many passengers to cut out so much space for them. I guess I will call Kirk racing about this tomorrow, but I thinkg that I am about 70% commited to this buy right now. Thanks.
