I'll have to call to inquire as to the discount I would receive if the buyin is met but here is the list info.

>> We have several products for the 3rd Gen RX7. The 4 point bar includes
>> the main loop with a diagonal and horizontal brace and two rear legs.
>> This bar can be made to mount behind the seat or in the storage bin
>> location for those who need to maximize seat travel. This bar can be
>> made of a 1.75" x .120 DOM material for $315 or a 2" x .180 for $350.
>> This bar is SCCA legal through SOLO I. If you are doing other racing
>> with the car, please let us know. Shipping to a commercial address or
>> freight terminal in theSpartanburg area should run about $65. If you
>> have any questions or need more information, please let me know. I would

The bar for regular sized folks will kill passenger room. Passenger>5 feet 8 will have a hard time.

It definitely stiffens up the chassis. Took about 3 hours to install.

VERY INTERESTED

I'm also very interested. Please let me know what kind of prices we are talking about. Also, what kind of bars are we talking about and if someone could please let me know the differences between them. (i.e. passenger room, storage bin access, etc.)
Thanks a lot,
Craig

Lets get this straight. Regular price is 315 dollars and 350 dollars for the 2 different bars? What would the prices be with the group buy? Does either of the bars allow me to run 10s at the drag strip? Im very interested.

Do a search on my name and kirk. I posted some pics of mine which mounts to the floor behind the seats.

Okay I just spent a while on the phone with kirk asking them all of your questions. There are a LOT of options here but first I'll overview the main stuff. Shipping is around $65 (business) if you can get 2 bars shipped to you the price will be the same because the bars weigh around 60lb but the freight limit is 120lb.

There are 2 trims. First one is the 4 pt roll bar that goes behind the seat and you'll lose roughly 1-2 clicks of seat travel which isnt really very much. I cant reach the pedals that far back anyway. The other option is to put the bar in the bins. Putting the bar in place of the bins is not SCCA legal as far as I know. Both trims are the same price.

You can get 1 3/4" tubing or 2" tubing but the 2" is more expensive, heavier and not necessary for any sort of racing. It is also about the same strength as the 1 3/4.

If you want to run 11s you pretty much need to have a full 6 pt cage. There isnt really a sanctioned setup by both the NHRA and SCCA but you can usually get by with 6-8 bars in the scca. Anything over that isnt legal. You'll have to see what you need for your type of racing but unless you're racing at a national level most places will accept the 4 pt 1 3/4" bar for <11.0

You can also get the bars painted or not painted (if you intend to have it powder coated)

List on the 1 3/4" bar in any trim is $315
Our discount would put the price at $265

List on the 2" bar in any trim is $335
Our discount would put the price at $281

Thats cheaper than I've found any bar so far. I can't wait!

Could you find out if the bar that goes in place of the bins consumes any seat space? Maybe a picture of that bar inside the car?
I'm assuming the legality dispute with the SCCA would be for the stock classes, as taking out the storage bins could be contested as weight reduction. I'll be running in modified so it really doesn't matter.

If its in place of the bins it consumes no seat space. One of the pictures I'll be posting is one in that configuration.

Well, I think that is their standard pricing. Not sure what savings COsborne is able to get off of that. Those prices do not include shipping, but they can handle that for you.

So, yes, you can order direct for that price I believe.

nah you're wrong. We're looking at at leats a $50 savings. If you order from kirk by yourself it will be no less than the price I listed as list.

List on the 1 3/4" bar in any trim is $315
Our discount would put the price at $265

List on the 2" bar in any trim is $335
Our discount would put the price at $281

If you want to go ahead and place an order with me you can we'll have 2 bars and will only need 2 more. Shouldnt be too hard to get 4 people for that price.
