Any FMIC don't need modification?

Hi,
I have seen a FMIC that don't need to removed or relocated the air pump, the battery, and the radiator, air conditioner reciever dryer and condenser. But, I forgot which FMIC. Can anyone give me the information.

Thanks!!

Its really a trade off depending on which intercooler you go with. The Blitz I think you still need to relocate the the radiator and go with a smaller battery. You are going to spend about $500 less on the Greddy, but there is more work involved and most of the money you saved would go toward labor hours on the install.

By the same token, are there any front mounts that don't require any cutting of the car's sheet metal? I know with the Greddy you have to do some measure of hacking/cutting.

You dont have to hack with the blitz. The Greddy you have to trim the rebar if you plan on keeping that.

there's no hacking with the a'pexi either. only mod you have to do is a little beating near a frame rail to make room for the right end tank. it comes with everything necessary to relocate everything else

but do you need to cut the actual front bumper skin in order to get the Greddy FMIC to fit? Would there be any cutting required if you didn't have the rebar?

Not sure with the 2 row, but I can tell you that a lot of cutting is required of the skin for the 3 row.

I had to cut a portion of my front bumper cover, and the rebar, and some for the piping.

Edit: I own the 2-row btw.

I have a RX-7 Fashion fmic.

I've also had a A'PEXi fmic on a red FD from many years ago

The RX-7 fashion you dont' have to move radiator, a/c, ps.

However, and this is a big however, you have to cut a part of the frame and bumper to make it fit. Labor wise it's the same as having a fmic that needs to have the radiator and other things moved around.

what about AC lines for the Greddy kit? i know that for the blitz kit you need to bend some of the AC lines in order to get the the ac components to fit properly. but does the Greddy FMIC need to bend any of the AC lines in order to get everything to fit?

i read nocab's version of the Greddy FMIC install and he mentioned slightly bending some ac lines in order to move the the condenser into the upright position...does he mean literally bending the pipe with a pipe bender from home depot? or just pushing it out of the way?

also notice in these pictures, the ac (pump?) is located in different places.

Blitz 1 - looks like a custom bracket

Blitz 2

Blitz 2 closeup - looks like he bolted it to the radiator??

Blitz 3 - i don't know what he has it bolted to...and what's that black rounded thing next to the AST?

Is there a set place to put the ac pump for the blitz kit? or is it up to whoever is installing the kit?

and here's the Greddy kit which doesn't look like the ac pump has moved at all:

i currently have a vertex front bumper...so if the greddy kit would require me to cut part of it i'd be really hesitant to use it. but it does seem like it sits further out than the stock bumper skin...at least when i tried to reinstall the license plate bracket it wasn't long enough.

I do have a BLITZ and installed by myself:
don't need to cut the front bumper nor the rebar
can keep airpump
have to get a smaller battery
have to bend AC lines, the bigger one is quiete difficult
some problems when installing a koyo also you have to modify upper brackets, I have an R1 and the stock fans didn't came in, got a pair of 12" Spal, the stock ones should fit in the touring
have to change power steering line, the new is provided
the brackets for condenser and the battery are provided as well as for the fuse box
have also to cut the undertray a little

That is not a pump, is the AC condenser
as said the bracket is provided, you have to bend the lines, pretty simple though

BTW, the battery does not go the way is showed, it goes a little bit more backwards and rotated of 90°

Unless you eliminate the AC, you'll have to do some modification to the system as well.
