FB Steering box - What's everyone been doing?

My steering box continues to get worse over time, and even with an out of the vehicle adjustment seems to be reaching the end of its life.

A local shop thinks they can rebuild my stock box for $500+ but at that price point I've considered investigating the use of a NEW flaming river steering box (finding a style closest to our stock with some modification). I don't have the time to build a R&P kit, but thought maybe a box may be a easier alternative.

With no R&P conversion available at the moment and without swapping to FC front subframe, what has everyone been doing?

Had a refurbished unit installed by Mazdatrix (Back when they were doing service). It was about $400.

Mine is super tight after doing the 3-way adjustment outlined somewhere on this-here forum. I did keep the extra box out of a parts car I sorted through a couple of years ago as back-up. If you're not wanting to do an upgrade like r&p, I'd say find a spare from a junkyard or part-out on here and call it a day!
