If u just unplug the trailing arms the space between the trailing plugs tips and the hole on the rotor housing will build up with carbon.

We all know that carbon is one of the chief culprits of detonation.

This can pose an issue if people do the "ghetto" approach" by simply unplugging the trailing pulgs.

The Anti-detonation device have tips ( u can't see it on the pics) that are coated and will plug up that pin-hole.

Pomanferrari, simply unpluggin the trailing plugs is not the same as creating a device that displaces it.

Sure, both methods eliminates any spark in the trailing plug area, but the anti-detonation device plugs up that pin hole and prevents carbon from building up. That alone can be the major patentable artwork.

Once again, people are capping on Skip's invention and don't know the personal issue that he has.

I don't see this as a "rip-off".

It's a legit product, and the price seems to be reasonable to the R&D, time invested, price of the patent process, production materials, and a little $$$ in his pocket.

Nothing wrong with people making an honest living right?

Better bring some KY Jelly - these Butt plugs(TM) will hurt when you first insert them.
Hey, listen jackass, it takes a lot of work to setup a good website. I have a full time job as an accountant at a fortune 500 telecommunications company. I have a wife and a life and spend as much time on the site getting it setup as I can. I'm setting up an affiliation with TeckademicsEast, which should help accelerate getting the site done. So lighten up a little, please.

I've also been in touch with Jason at the RX7 Store and Allen (Batman) and will sending them sets to test out on their own vehicles. I'm sure they will post results, whether good or bad, to the forum for review. Until then, pipe down, take a chill pill, and keep an open mind.

BTW, Danco, Inc is a registered business in the good'ol USA. The disclaimers are there so morons won't blow there motors running 17:1 A/F on 87 octane and coming back to me with a lawsuit saying it was my fault. Cover your own *** basically.

Thanks,

Are we sure that this is the anti-det device by KDR or just some scam. Are we making assumptions here? I don't see any connection with KDR? What am I missing?
Yes these are the real deal that was developed by Skip at KDR.

He is working with PG-unlimited.

When my new engine gets the proper break-in I'll set up an appt with a local tuner that has Dyno-jet and have this anti-kaboom device tested.

I'll post my results which will be unadultered and objective.

Then I'll give my subjective input as well.

More on this later.

Folks, from what I know so far this device will provide significant protection against our BIGGEST nemesis: detonation.

But since this will allow u to run a leaner A/F ratio, we may very well face new ailments such as sunken rotor faces due to the "softening" of the metal from high EGT's.

With that in mind our topic on tuning will probably shift from detontation to having the proper A/F ratios so that we don't melt parts.

There are several reasons to use an LLC entity other than limited liability. In fact the limited liability of an LLC is relatively untested in comparison to other entities, such as the C-corp. The main advantage of the LLC is that it's a tax pass through, like a partnership, but can be structured like a C-corp with separation between management and ownership. This is very appealing to small businesses with an eye towards expansion. Chances are most of the companies you do business with in the rx7 community are LLCs.

Frankly, I don't think there is anything unethical with desiring to limit liability. Is it really fair to ask someone to put their family's personal assets at risk for the privilege of operating a business? Bear in mind limited liability is not absolute. There is extensive case law detailing circumstances where the corporate veil can be pierced to prevent people from abusing the benefits of limited liability.

With that said the price is out of control and the ideal apparently isn't a new one, but rather an old one that nobody capitalized on. Shame on Skip for charging so much, shame on everyone else for not doing something with this idea sooner.

Two young friends, ten years old, are walking around through an open field near thier homes, as they have done every day since summer vacation started. Tom grabs a switch from a tree and starts flayling away amongst the brush and cuts a pathway thru which they can walk. The other friend, bill, whose father is a patent attorney, after telling dad about the days events at dinner, (obviously, 40 years ago or so, because no one eats as a family anymore), decides that maybe there is more to this switch than his friend Tom may have realized. Bill builds a weedwacker and becomes a zillionaire. GOOD FOR BILL

i'm not sure about cali, but piercing the corporate veil is not an easy...err, i mean...a near impossible thing to do in ny.
as for the device, if it works, i figure it's about 10% of the cost of an engine rebuild/replacement, so i'm willing to try it.
imo, no reason to be mad at a guy who develops an idea that nobody, including mazda, sought to develop to such a high level. good for skip if it works.

All I will say is people should think about why KD Rotary has completely distanced themselves from this "device". I think it would also be beneficial for the guinea pigs running the "device" and a PFC to step forward and describe their experiences.....

Hey listen donkey, before you offer stuff to the public, test them out first and stand behind your product.

Sending the **** out to a few people doesn't cut it.

The number one thing that tells me this is **** is that you don't have it (or at least I don't see it) on your car.

The second thing that tells me this is **** is that you're eliminating a trailing plug that is part of the whole emission set up. The car will most likely not pass emission in most states.

The third thing is why is this **** the only thing available on the website?

The fourth thing is that this butt plugs remind me too much of the much vaunted "Tornado" crock of **** that's still being sold.

The fifth thing is that this butt plugs remind me too much of the 200 mpg carburators.

The sixth thing is ... oh yeah, it's ******* butt-ugly, it looks like butt plugs the Pentagon passed out to the Iraquis after they've been detained at Abu Ghraib far too long.

Just to make it clear for everyone who may be wondering, this device has nothing to do with Skip Gorman or KD Rotary in any shape, way, or form.

Once I knew what the product was I started a long search of other companies that could offer this product and yield the same results. Danco, Inc has been in the aerospace industry for many years and has been working with alternate fuel engine designs. One design incorporated rotary technology in which the TrailPlug was invented.

If you have questions, comments, or concerns regarding this product, please direct them to Performance Group Unlimited as I'm sure Skip Gorman nor KD Rotary will reply.

Thanks much,

Steven Hyde

not to be a dick... but wasnt that part of the "glamor" of running this device? low octane fuel without detonation?

something that amuses me is that right now there are rotor housing being developed that are actualy ADDING sparkplugs to each housing. i cant say much more than that, but i am willing to bet that some of the highest HP rotaries in the world WILL be running these as opposed to eliminating plugs.
this device is confusing the hell out of me. let's force more air into an engine by upgrading the turbo and porting the motor for flow, lets add fuel to compensate... but HEY! lets get rid of half of the spark....

i thing Skip is absolutly a very smart man for doing things the way he has and wish him all the best with it. I also hope all is well with the hospital bills and his wife.

I, uh, don't think it will work. Before I knew what the design that KD was selling, I was curious. Now that I know what it is, I just laugh to myself since someone will buy it and swear by it.

BATMAN???? Where are you getting your info??? I am really confused, I think we need to clarify this.

If this has nothing to do with KDR, is it a similar device? This thread could be detrimental to KDR if this IS NOT the same thing.

Hey you know what, don't buy it. Sorry I couldn't meet your expectations, but I'll try harder in the future. Is that better?

I have no problem running down to my car in the garage, taking a pic, and sending it here.

I had my car on the dyno about a week ago and put down 315HP and 280FT at about 8~10 psi. This was done on 89 Octane pump gas and running 12.5:1 A/F ratio.

Once people start to use this product, I'm hoping they will also have the positive results I've experienced during my testing and will post their results on this forum for everyone to see.

Thanks.

Hey Donkey, here are some more of my input:

Put some smoke and mirror on it, like flashing LEDs designed to be synchronized with the combustion process, may be some kind of whistle?

You want to sell turds, you gotta dress it up.

You see, if I'm going to spend $450 that **** better look like it's doing something. Take for example my HKS Twinpower that I paid $500 for. Hell if I know it works or not but damn, every time I opened the hood and people saw the nice gold-anodized box with the flashing Red-LED synchronized with the ignition and ooh and ahhed, I felt it was worth the $500.

And "functional"? These butt plugs don't have a function as they eliminate a function so they are technically "non-functional"?

Try putting some red "Type R" stickers at the end of the butt plugs. That should help the marketing.
