is this at all possible? (water pump idea)
okay this idea is fresh in my mind so bear with me:
Ive noticed how on single turbo conversions, the belt barely grazes by the water pump, which means it could easily stop spinning at higher rpm's.....now my idea is this....What about getting a larger belt, running it around the water pump pulley, and reversing the impeller inside? That way youd have constant pressure on the pulley so it wouldnt stop spinning, but coolant wouldnt be running in reverse through the system. Any one know if its possible to reverse the impeller in the water pump? Just thought id put it on the table, as im one to spend money only when necessary

built my own engine
if yo'ure single turbo you can run a FC water pump/housing/thermostat housing
it looks better, has the "dual belt" setup, and if you don't run a mechanical fan it looks kinda cool with like, 12bolts in the water pump pulley
the main drawback to the FC idea with the stock twins is the OMP, and water coolant lines

I think that running the ribed side of the belt over the w/p pulley-which has no grooves-would wear the belts out fast. Maybe?
Either way it sounds like alot of trouble. Might want to direct that effort towards an electric w/p or something.
