8-10-8 boost?
i know this is prob the 1 millionth thread on this topic but i searched and it doesn't seem that anyone has a boost pattern like mine. primary 8 psi, transition 10 psi and secondary back to 8 psi? will a boost controler fix my problem or is this something more serious? i have gotten 2 boost spikes in the past 2 weeks also.. somewhere around 13-14 psi, luckily i was watching and let off the gas.... i am driving my car carfully, seems to run fine other than the boost pattern. my mods are greddy intake, dp, apexi n1 full exhaust, w/ stock ecu. if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction thanks in advace. thanks guys

No it's not Turbo'd
Sounds like you gave a vaccuum hose issue... especially if it's running well. I'm not that familiar with the diagram, but since normal is 10-8-10 then it sounds like 8-10-8 means your prespool and your wastegate are talking backwards to eachother.... but like I said I know that a "Hose Job" will most likely fix that, but I'm not sure what's supposed to be hooked up to what... I'm most likely going to do one soon, but If I do, it'll just be remove this one, replace, remove replace etc..... since my hoses are plumbed correctly...

I do have a whole silicone vacume hose and tie done about a year ago and haven't touched them since so i don't belive that the hoses were put on wrong but maybe one poped off? could that explain any of this? i will try and check my hoses tonight. thanks dcrosby, anyone else have suggestions? opinions? thanks

You stated "full exhaust" earlier. Are you running a midpipe or just the stock main cat with a downpipe and Apexi catback?
If you still have the main cat, it might be failing causing some restriction.

Possibly, have someone check the backpressure, or rig up a boost gauge to a hollowed out O2 Sensor... if the amount of pressure exceeds 6 PSI, you've got serious backpressure issues...

Mahjik's right on. It seems you either have a clogged cat or a small boost leak. I would be careful. Once you find the cause of your low boost, you are going to need a boost controller. As always, I strongly recommend a Profec B (old one, not the new Spec II).

i'm running a 6-8-6 boost pattern...or around there. I know the wastegate, unregulated by any solenoids, will only hold 5-6 psi, so i'm thinking that I have a lazy solenoid somewhere....anybody....anybody?
