Unhappy 7 smokes on startup and when at high boost

Hello all,

I have a 93 with a rarely new motor but the turbos on it are at 104k. I was pushing 13psi when I install the DP and MP / Apexi exhaust. Recently the 7 smokes at startup and has boost problems, 9 psi. I believe the secondary turbos has an external leak and is dripping on the DP because you can smell burning oil, also when getting an oil change I got a chance to glance underneath it, oil was spread all underneath the body. You guys think it's the turbos? I know I need a new ECU and the PFC is in mind but waiting to install the new turbos first.

Thanx

It's your turbos. Mine does the same thing. Smoke on start up and smoke at WOT. I took off my primary turbo inlet a few days ago to block off my EGR valve, and oil dripped out when I took it off. My oil gaskets are going.

Rotaries smoke at startup without turbos. I had a 1st and 2nd gen both do this. And for the oil, check where it is coming from. If it is wet under the steering rack then your front cover seal is most likely gone. The oil return lines on the turbos can also leak.
