2 seaters Vs 4 seaters

did the S6/7/8 ever come out with only 2 seaters, ive sat in a 4seater and its so damn tiny (im 192cm), i would love to get one, but if i cant fit into it whats the use. Are the 2 seaters more roomier than 4 seaters ?

The rear seats only change whether the car has storage bins or seats. The driver/passenger seats are still in the same position.

The 4 seater is straight from Japan. In Japan, (I think I heard) it is considered unsociable to drive only a 2 seat car. The seats can be purchased and installed in any 3rd gen car. I bought a set about 2 years ago with panels, seats, back, carpet, and seat belts. The car is only intended as a 2 seater, but designed with 4 seats for this reason.

There are other things you can do to help fit into the car. Most taller people usually do one or two of the following things:

1. Bolt the seats to the directly floor
2. Get aftermarket seats
3. Get an aftermarket steering wheel

Bolting the seats to the floor will help with head room as will some of the aftermarket seats. Getting an aftermarket steering wheel will help with the knee room.

Considering they would cost ~$400-700 AND they require you remove the rear strut bar.....
leave it

just a curious question, would an FD here in the states with 4 seats, rather 2+2, qualify for an insurance discount? I know there were none originally sold like that here, but if someone modded 1 then sold to another person 2+2 style, would a discount apply?
I'm thinking akin to how some insurance companies give discounts if you have an alarm system, dual airbags, etc.

Thanks.
Edgardo

cant see how you could make it a 4 seater because the body in the middle is all raised in between the seats, so unless somebody did MAJOR work........

Not true whatsoever. I have rear seats, the rear bar fits perfectly with them.

my bad guys
I had thought I read that the reason rear seats weren't an option in the u.s. was because it wasn't as side-impact protective, and also something about the rear strut bar. Oopsies. I could have sworn jt-imports stated that u had to take it off when he was trying to sell a set
I'll go sit in the corner now
