If you're getting a code for the oil metering pump, your car will go into limp mode and will run as you described. I just had this probem on my car. This thread has my description of the problem.

I bought a used pump off of a forum member, put it on a couple weeks ago, and my car runs great again.

I was just thinking that if you tried the PFC and it still ran poorly, it might not be the OMP. I'm not sure if the PFC has a limp mode or not like the stock ECU.

My friend borrowed the pfc and didn't know how to work it, but he was able to rev the car up tho it still spit and backfired. Tho that was the first time we ever got it to rev past 2000 rpms!!! Rob.

This might seem stupid but its an old redneck trick. They will put a ping pong ball in the gas tank. It will give all the symptoms that u have. Really the only way to check for sure is to pull the gas tank. With the car not running or ideling the ball will float but when u give gas it will get sucked to the opening.
