Looks like the Rotary Extreme setup....it's a nice setup. I'm going to merge this thread with the big vmount setup thread.

Well, now THAT'S a first! Have you done any wind testing to verify that the opening is a low pressure area? Damn, that's some pretty nice work.

I have pix somewhere of a S15 silvia with a vmount & hood like that. Finished it will look secks.

If the leading edge of the bumper/hood is a high pressure area it would follow that the void would be low pressure no?

EDIT: how are you sealing the gaps? The ones i've seen had a rubber skirt that ran the perimeter of the IC.

That hood exit is actually what Duane Krumweide (CWR) originally had in mind with the CWR IC, but never got that far along with it.

It's a common design, as seen on the Corvette C5 and C6R's, and will likely have the added benefit of producing downforce at the front.

Nice work!!

The same type is also planned for the ASP style med/large SMIC's as well.

That's going to be tougher, singe they stand straight up and down... i figured that's why the CWR was canted forward.

What's the deal with the 4" gap between radiator and IC?!

If he's smart he'll turn that gap into a CAI intake. That's what I'm gonna do.

I think not. Much better to have a tight-V. You could create an opening in the passenger side ducting to feed an intake, that would be MUCH better!

That will be gone
