Turbo restrictor pills and BNR stage 3 turbos

Are the restrictor pills built into the BNR stage 3 turbos like they are with 99 specs? Or will they need to be replaced?
The wastegate actuator is not ECU controlled so other than the restrictor pills, there will be no other way to "tune" primary boost to the correct 10 PSI other than with the pills in the wastegate right?
I assume also that 10-8-10 will then come about because of the correct primary turbo boost threshold and the pill in the pre-control line will also be necessary even with BNRs.

I am seeing primary boost only hit about 6.5-7 PSI but still feel some sort of crossover and 6 PSI past 4.5k RPM. I am running an Azeknightz solenoid rack, BNR stage 3s and a PFC (base map).

Hard to say, it may depend on what core was used to make the turbos.

Just pull the hoses off the compressor side nipple and look to see if the pills are there. If they are they will be pressed into the 2 nipples.

Dale,

Thanks for the tip. I think you're right, it may depend on the core. In my case, I didn't see any restrictors so may have used my '94 cores instead of the '99 spec ones I also sent in to BNR.

Here's the picture for reference for others.
To confirm:
'99 spec turbos did NOT require these pills. I was getting 10-8-10 after installation.
BNRs may or may not come with the pills. Mine did not, so I was getting around 6-7 primary and then steady 6-7 after transition.

These came out of my '94 touring's twins. It seems like the wastegate restrictor pill has a band around it vs the precontrol actuator. I didn't have anything to measure the difference in hole diameter.

Yep, those 2 nipples are clear through for sure so you don't have pills there.

I sent my 99 twins into BNR for the cores, and they came back with 93 compressors. I wonder if they don’t use the 99 compressors?

Maybe not because of the abraidable seals in the 99 specs?

I got BNRs a couple of years ago, and I needed the tubes with pills in them.
