BNR hybrid turbos

Ive been searchig the forums lately trying to figure out what turbo I want for my s4 t2. I here a lot about the bnr's being the best for your buck. What I want to know is, how well do they spool, at what rpm do they spool, do they hold boost until redline and if not where and how much boost is lost and lastly what is the lag like? Also, be sure to specify the stage and whether or not your motor is ported. Horsepower and boost numbers are appreciated.
Im just trying to figure out what I want out of this build.

i have a stage 3 BNR turbo. ported motor, front mount, 1600cc injectors, all the goodies. The turbo spools up pretty good, i get full boost prolly at like 4500, i made 348HP on 13PSI with a bad tune. So i'd say they are worth it, ecpecially on a low budget.

I have a S5 stage 2 on my FC. It makes 300-320 RWHP at 12 or so psi. It reaches peak boost (14 psi) by 3100 RPM. Engine has a large SP and using Rtek ECU. It is a great responding turbo, it responds like stock and is a 50-75 RWHP gain over the stock turbo maxed. My T2 went down the strip one time. It went a 13.0 with an aweful 2.2 60 foot and had to lift at the 1000 ft mark and trapped 110 mph at around 12-13 psi. At that boost level, it could have atleast trapped 112-113 mph if I would have stayed in it. That is around 330 RWHP for that MPH.

Some of the turbos have boost fall off up top because of backpressure blowing the swing valves open. When they are ported it wants to have more fall off up top since there is more surface area exposed to the back pressure. If you want peak power, minimize porting on the wastegates and you make more power and you can run more boost.

What do you mean?

Bryan, whats the spooling difference between the s4 and s5 setups? How much would a ported manifold help the turbo?

I have the s4 stage 4 and its great!! Im keeping up with my buddys 430whp s15. Im getting full boost 16-18 psi by 4200 rpm im 4th gear. Bryan is a great guy and good customer service. I had a smoking issue but its because of the oil pressure pellet, not that big of a deal.

S5s spool faster due to the divided manifold, but S4s are better for peak power.

I just sent the money for my stage 2 upgrade yesterday, I'm looking forward to it. I accidentally boosted to 20 psi on the highway the other day on my stocker

What bryan did for me to make sure the turbo didn't smoke was weld the opening shut of the stock oil feed line. Then he sanded it down flat and drilled a small hole in the center and this created a nice oil restrictor using the stock feed line. I've had the stage III and 4 and I really enjoyed both turbos. Now I'm thinking about getting a stage I for my stock tII convertible. Bryan was a very helpful guy that knows his stuff about turbos.
