Pulling dash, any tips?

I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times, sorry if I'm posting a redundant question!

I'll be needing to pull my dash at some point to install the HVAC components that the previous owner ripped out, anyone have any tips/guidance for the process?

Thanks!

Been a few years but IIRC the shifter panel has to come off first and the gauge cluster face has to slide out toward you enough to access one or two retaining screws for the HVAC panel. In order to slide the gauge panel out you’ll have to remove the column covers and lower knee panel.
And obviously go slow with the fragile plastics. Still, from my experience, I’d just assume your gonna break something.

Is it just the AC stuff or did the heater core come out too?

AC evap box you can install with the dash in. Just remove the glove box. Heater core requires full dash out.

Thanks for the tips! I'll go slow and try my best to limit the damage.

Unfortunately the PO was in the process of building it into a track car so he ripped out the entire HVAC assembly, all the controls are missing from the dash, heater core, AC stuff all gone. Only thing that's left is the blower fan itself, even the harness has been removed. It's going to be a fun time sourcing all those parts!

My dash removal procedure / sequence
1. Remove...Apillar covers, defrost vents, dash end-covers, clams, lower dash panel, dash knee ovals, tunnel & shift covers, shift lever, glove box, kick panels, cluster, HVAC panel. If cluster is stuck remove from back-side after dash is out.
2. Hood release cable
3. Drop Steering column....2 bolts
4. 9 dash mount bolts
5. Disconnect all harness connections.....will need to pull dash out a few inches for access.
6. Pull out dash....two people best

I have heater box and most other parts you are missing

I like to pull out the seats just for the extra room to get it out.

Seat removal is smart
Just noticed your car is RHD....if correct you will want to check with REDBUL for your RHD parts needs....I only have LHD parts

I'd also pull the ebrake handle. I've had it hang up on that before when pulling it out.

Pull the A pillar covers. Not specifically required, but I ripped the fake leather on mine before during a dash removal.
