The car doesnt sound TOO bad from a distance with the echos. Actually in that vid is sounded pretty mean at higher rpms. Definitely a hardcore sound which a lot of racer enthusiasts should like. Who knows how itll sound on camera tho.
Another funny thing is that Matt thought my gas tank was full when we started and then all of sudden hit half tank when in reality I had filled at my home town and started filming in Malibu with little less than 3/4 tank. This exaggerated my "bad" gas mileage. I avg ~16mpg with mixed city/hwy/canyon driving. About the same as my E39 M5.

The LS2 was cammed tuned and stroked to a 6.9L so not very surprising that it was faster. 500wtq is no joke. I do wish Matt revved out my car more tho, he always was shifting early and I do wish they included my speal about the EFR/Rotary. They also left out a bunch of other great shots and seemed to have rushed through this whole episode.
Crazy how much footage we took for such a short little clip but overall I enjoyed the vid but I am also a bit disappointed.

As said before, they offer a free trial. 3 weeks if I recall correctly.
I've watched much better (and concise) reviews by Matt, which is the usual case. Quite disappointed this time around. Not just for the rotary FD review, but for both FD's reviews/comparison as a whole. It felt more like a preview/trailer than their usual all out detailed reviews. Of course, this is the responsibility of the /Drive staff and Matt Farah.

Yeah...it was ok , I mean there is only few of us FD that come close to LS , I think he would of not liked driving a stock twin, the V8 is famous for his torque,indeed like all the muscle car this show has .
Anyways it was a nice one that represented us , and I'm proud !!

I am dissapointed . I think it would of been better had they done a track day , like they did with the NSX's saying the extra HP from the V8 makes up for the difference in the car's handling is also not exactly Even .
I believe THe V8 FD had R888 , what tire were you running ?

I have the pettit track pro stage 3's 12k/12k springs tanabe front sway and oem rear sway.
Edit: The ls fd had tokikos w/ eibach springs and racingbeat sways.
During the wheel shots my shocks were on full soft. All other shots the shocks were almost fully tightened up.
My tires are dunlop direzza zii's.
He should of definitely talked more about powerband, hp, boost response, steering feel, brake feel, handling and some sort of speed comparison. To the common viewer they have no idea how fast the car(s) are. At least they got a flame shot tho
