I can not speak for the r-1 or the later model cars. Having said that, when I bought my touring project ( red car ) some 15 + years ago I had to source a windshield and drivers side glass. The touring front shield was a bronze tint sunshade. The side glass was also the same bronze ( appeared dirty brown ) tint. When I bought a piece of door glass off of eBay, it came in a blue tint that did not match the passenger window. I was able to source one from Fritz that was the correct shade. This car was a very early 01/92 build date. Not sure if that has a bearing. I do know that they went to the blue tint sunshade in 94-95. Again I’m not sure after 95 tho.
The base model ( black car ) is the same build date and has the original windshield. The following pictures are of the shade differences. A glass guy told me the easiest way to see this is use a sheet of paper. Here are a few pics for reference.
honestly think that if you already have an engine and/or aftermarket parts you can order up the main components for a significant engine overhaul individually and direct from Japan rather than be waiting on a new keg.
all three irons, two rotors, and two rotor housings is coming up at ~$3,900 all-in shipped.
especially compared to the one new keg on here being offered at $7,500. Probably going to add another $500 - $600 to ship it if not local.
some of the USA prices make no sense to me compared to just importing them direct, and they’re all available within a week or two.

Yes we have a BNIB crate motor.......the $7500 price includes install .
if they need a factory stock engine and the additional services, then ok 👍
people with the Motorsport option can get some of the major parts for about the same or slightly higher than the Japan direct option depending on whether it qualifies for free shipping from Motorsports ($900+ order), but don’t forget to include tax. The S4 8.5CR rotors I ordered from JP ended up over $200 each less once everything was all in on both sides.
It’s an option though if certain parts are on backorder here vs. available in Japan.

TL;DR It's basic stuff like throttle sensor (probably the most "exciting" thing), some gaskets, vacuum/emission hoses, some small fasteners for the body and small brake parts
