Issue with windows
I will try to take pictures to better show it but I can’t at the moment as I’m not home. I own a 1995 RHD RX7 and when I got the car the left side window stopped working so we hooked 2 cables directly to the window electrical input (i don’t know the exact terminology since Im still new and learning all about this will try my best). The left side passenger switch won’t work so we disconnected it and connected 2 cables to the window directly and now to put the window up and down I have to open the hood and connect each cable to the battery terminal to put the window up and down. A week later the driver side (right side) switch stopped working so I had to do the same thing to put the window up and down. Any suggestions on what to check or what it can be?

Yeah hands down the window switches are problem #1 with the windows, they are a wear item and have to be replaced.

Window switches on many cars are completely rebuildable, you might want to try that as KansasCityREPU suggested before replacing them.
It should be a pretty straightforward process. Simply clean any contacts with fine sandpaper and decompress the springs. You may also need to build some solder up if any contacts are excessively worn.

I've never had good luck with trying to clean contacts and fix the switch. It will work for a while and then you are back at it. New switch is the way to go.

I had an issue with the driver's side window, but the issue was that the wire going into the connector at the door (at the hinge) was loose. I just pushed the wire back into the connector and things were back to normal. I had already replaced the window switch, and had no 'power' to the window switch.

I'm having issues with my passenger Window not going up. I thought it was one of the switches but they both appear to be fine. I'm wondering how to troubleshoot the wires between the door and the body. I can barely get my hand in any of the spots to troubleshoot. I also found I have a 3rd party security system which has introduced extra cables and devices...
