never heard of those. is that a model or brand?

 

that goldish bronze paint is unique, i like it!

 

then buy some bigger wheels to fill that gap and at the same time have a higher ride height.

Hell no!! That would be sacrilege! Nothing against Fords, but no Ford logo on my Mazda... Even though Ford owned Mazda at the time this car came from the factory. It's a badge saying Vintage Custom. I kinda liked it, so it stayed there.

Same thought, but it has no chance of surviving. The exhaust barely clears the ground when I leave my garage as is, so imagine with a lower diffuser. Although I like the old (and also rare) RE-Amemiya diffuser that someone here was selling copies of a while ago. Maybe sometime...

Kyle, I know.. After getting the rims and on the car, I don't know how I feel about them.. They are definitely nice wheels but doesn't have that BLING rice affect! LOL! I dont know, I might keep them or put it on the 8. Once I get the blk FD build, I'm going to see how it looks on them.

 

I really like your car, but i absolutely can't stand when people paint the under skirt on the rear bumper. it looks sooooooo much better when it's black like how it comes from the factory...

 

^+ 1 to that , i was going to say the same... it would look better black, and while you are at it, you should smoke the rear reflectors to match the side markers...your car still look great.

I like them, but the only thying about them though, I think they are a little lite for my liking for phils set up. I think it would look better with a darker center section and leave the lip.

I agree.. I might take them apart and get it powder coated in gun metal or Black. I've ordered some new black center caps as when my tire place was putting the tires on, they broke one of them.. its kind of plain.. We'll see how it looks with black caps.

On top of all this, about an hour ago, I got a flat in my 8. I put my stock rims back on because I bent one of the SSRs and now this.. Luckily I was only 3-4 miles away and my wife's friend brought us home to get my spare SSR as a spare.. LOL!




Bad luck with tires and wheels this week.. at least I needed to replace the tires on them anyhow..

yeah phil, If they were darker, gun metal or black they would flow better with the over look of the car. How do you like your rx-8 so far.

 

I like it! I sold my acura and bought this as a daily. Only issue I have is previous owner put kind of heavy clutch (which I think its not necessary since it makes such a little HP and torque) but I'm used to it now. Great handling car and pretty comfy. Did you end up picking up another 7?
