yup, same car (minus a few parts) and same color (25g) - that pic is from a year ago when I had the veilside front still on. Prolly just the angle/lighting.


thanks!!! I took the forum advice and ditched the veilside front end and it made a world of difference in the whole look. I spent a lot of time defending that front but now that I've switched to a stock bumper/r1 lip I really have to say I prefer it to the veilside front bumper (catfish)

 

Sorry about the crap photo, it is camera phone. Car is 2001 bathurst r in sunburst yellow. rims are 19's, 275 30 rear, 245 front. they were chrome, had them acid dipped for 2 weeks, and now they are black with a slight silver dusting. cant see it in photos, but I think it is awesome, and totaly unique.

Skirts are autoexe, as is the rear wing insert. the front is mazdaspeed.
the rear is stock witha carbon fibre exhaust shield.

 

I wil post some decent photos some time soon.

Man, again, that car looks great! Not too often one comes along that strikes me like that. Really look into that carbon diffuser, I think it would look great.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I have been looking at rear diffusers, but havent found one that really strikes me yet. I don't want to get anything too over the top. I like that the car looks fairly normal so far, just a bit "more". I looked at a lot of full body kits, but nothing which I was certain would look better then the carbon add ons.

There is quite a lot of carbon bits, most of which are not in the photos. It has feed door handles, amemiya scuff plates, momo **** and wheel, and the mazdaspeed faux carbon fibre dash (which was stock on the car). So I am trying to get a yellow and carbon look.

The car is just about how I want it, except for a bit more motor work, and the diffuser, and the interior looks just how I like it.

As I said, I will post up some good photos when I take them. Thanks again!

I think the diffuser is a bit much. it does add performance but it makes the car look ricey IMO. If you have a full body kit then it will work.
Andy, the diffuser looks out of place on your car-especially with no sides.

I agree, to many fd guys destroy the car with overstated body kits and rediculous wings.^^ This one is also nice and simple, just the way I like it!

 

I was thinking how nice your wheels looked on your car. I've got a black FD as well. What wheeels are those on the car now and why the change?

 

I think this is a beautiful car. Call me boring, but I like the look of the stock FD.

 

17" SSR GT-1 which I think is no longer in production. I wanted to change mostly to add wheel width and tire size.
