Why?.I can't Boost!.(engine swap.)
Ok,I have to ask the Big Kahunas out there.
Why??.Because:I am not as smart as a Fifth grader!
I got a S5 TII keg, with an FD upper/w Greddy elbow and BOV,FMIC,hybrid turbo, and I just slapped some 550's in as I could not get the car to Stop flooding with 4X 720's in it..I have this in an N/A on the Stock N/A harness, all emission Stuff is not on the engine.Ecu is an N333 with the resistor pack on the N/a harness.
I got the car to Idle,Finally, about 900-1000.I get about 16-20 On Vacuum. When I go to accelerate the Gauge will not go Past Zero(No Boost?)..the car will Die out.
If I punch it,the engine will rev up and then Come down and Stall out.
It starts up no problem.
does anyone have an Idea as to what is going on?( I am New to Turbo'ed engines, but not to N/A's.,I can fix my N/a in my sleep.this Turbo stuff baffles me!)
Cheers Styx.

i could be wrong but i just woke up and im taking a guess here.. but the NA harness isnt set up for a boost sensor? (been a long time since ive worked under an na). on a na->t2 swap you keep the na sensor harness (drivers side harness) and use a t2 engine harness. So there could be a pinout difference or somethign to that extent not allowing the ECU to see its producing boost and falling on its face

When you say "when I go to accelerate" do you mean when you're cruising and you go WOT or accelerating from a complete stop?
I'm pretty sure you can disconnect your MAP and drive the car so its unlikely that thats the problem. I think it could be your piping or a huge intake leak.

the sensors on the Strut tower is TII and the AFM is TII,the other pressure sensor in teh Passenger Side Interior is also NOW TII...they are all N318.
The Piping?.I will check that.I am certain it isn't that though,as All my Clamps were tightened down,to the point of Nearly Breaking!..(I actually had a 3 inch clamp Snap off in my face!).
I had vacuum leaks on the FD upper before, but I attended to them, and since it only has 5 tubes on it,it is Easily Clamped and Done with.
My thinking is that IF I had a vacuum leak, wouldn't the Car Studder on idle, and Not let me give it gas at all?..I am Getting - 20 on the vac/boost gauge..it just won't go past Zero..so To me anyways, that is saying it won't boost..
..anyone>?Thanks,Dave.

Yeah thats definitely too much vacuum to have a serious intake leak. Just to let you know you will be able to create little or no boost when you are free revving the engine (not in gear) because there is not enough load on the engine.
The only real concern I see here is the car dying like you described. Now that you understand the boost issue, try and explain the car dying a little better.

ya no boost on free rev u will need to run it on the street or be in 4th with wheel spinning and hold the brake down :O or something....
see if it hits boost once then stalls but comes back on when u let go of the gas mine was doing that for a while.. tho i never found the prob i pulled the ecu out and hooked it up under the hood and ran fine put it back in the car and only 2 times she has done that.....
id say look for a ground to the ecu, body and engine. thats what i ended up doing i think.....
also see if you can slowly rev it up to 5k or so just stay away from the zero mark that will help us find out if its a boost prob or something else.

I found a clamp that was loose.I fixed that bastard!..heh
yes all the sensors are for the N333 Ecu,(the Sensors are N318)
I did not MIX and Match electronics,IT is a s5 keg ONLY.everything else is S4 electronic components.
the FD Upper and TB and TPS are...well,..FD!
So anyways,Today I disconnected the boost sensor, and it runs alright.
I plugged/unplugged the sensor.it runs better off.
I plugged/unplugged the TPS,it runs better with it Connected.
I get 800 RPM on idle now.(I turned the CAS up a bit..,just to see what would go on.)
........HMM..NO BOOST because I have NO LOAD?....I can understand that, now.I'll try to get the wheels Propped up enough to Spin them and brake at the same time..Maybe take a Drive,If I get the Body Essentials on!,,haha!
Thanks Gentlemen..this Is quite the Experience.I wouldn't have this Problem if I stayed N/A!..but I love the Challenge and I am Learning ALOT..let me tell you..ALOT!.Thanks,STYX.
