Who got the best deal on their FC???
My friend got his 91 GXl for $400, and a PERFECT 1986 GXL for $500. The 91 just had some missing interior pieces, and the 86 needed a motor but everything else was replaced new Mazda OEM.....he had 2 extra motors sitting at his house....car runs beautiful.......
Makes me sick.....i paid 1800 for my 86, but its my baby and there is nothing wrong with it at all......

I just bought a 87 N/A. 60k on the clock for 2500. It is absolutly mint other than some rust in the rear right wheel well and somewhat dirty seats. No leaks of any sort and the chicago car has never seen snow. The front right caliper did need to be replaced when i bought it.
I don't understand the point of this thread at all. Quite frankly, there are people that "inherit" their cars for free. Whereas, another individual, will have paid a large amount for their cars.
What is the point of this thread? To brag at how "cheap" a person obtained a RX-7?

My two current 7s . $500 for a 1988 Sport w/135k miles two years later the only money I've spent on it was for fuel and oil changes and new NGKs.
The other $2,000 for a 1988 Vert mint condition except the rear rotor decided to throw it's seals last Friday three months after I bought it. Time for a TII Swap.

Okay, now I feel like a dumbass....
oh well, I love my car anyway
$3000 US (Not including what it cost me to pay off my old loan) '89 Vert, was in perfect condition, some ******* slashed my top, and then while playing in the snow I went sideways into a snowbank, did no damage on that one, didn't see an icepile after a storm, ran into/over it, caused minor front end damage, wouldn't start for about three weeks, thought motor was blown, turns out it apparently had PMS, it started back up and has been mostly fine since, got a coolant leak, fixed it, now leaks oil.
So am I the only one willing to list all the problems they've had instead of all the great deals?
oh, wait, I didn't get a good deal

I live in Minnesota...which has 0 RX-7s for sale
I finally found one that met my tastes
The exterior doesnt need a paint job but it has its share of defects. The interior was perfect and the engine bay looked bran new. I bought it from a guy who lived in Utah...The car has never been exposed to a Minnesota Winter.....
had 120k miles on it doesnt need any work
But Iam going to paint it
