$1500 for my 1989 GTU.
Needs nothing. Great paint. Great interior. 169K but still has good compression and pulls like a champ.

I'm happy

I just marked free because my dad *gave* it to me (I turned 16 and kinda aquired it), but my dad bought it brand new back in 1991. She is a white 1991 convertible, and currently has 66,300 miles.

paid $1500 for my '90 TurboII non-running with a blown rear rotor. In really great shape overall. Total, out the door with a replaced motor, $3000 if I count the miscellaneous nuts & bolts, for a '90 TurboII with a "fresh" j-spec engine, PLUS an extra transmission sitting around.

Paid $200.00 for it with a "bad tranny". Put a new slave cylinder on it and it was fine. Sold it to a friend for $1000.00 on payments with $500.00 down.
Never got another payment and had to go get it with a bad clutch. Just finished with the clutch and a few other small parts. With title, licence, etc I am about even!

Bought an '87 n/a for RENT MONEY...Buddy of mine didn't want to live in the Army barracks when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, so he gave me his car if I would let him and his Girlfriend stay at my house for 3 months....they only stayed for 1 month, but I still got the car...

Rent cost $425.00 FULL price...I figure for that month, I paid $425.00 and got a free car...or paid $212.50 for a running FC with paint job...

on a side note....I sold that car to my dad for $1.00 He was having problems with her and since my pops isn't mechanically inclined, but monetarily strong, he took it to Mazda...PERFECT compression in both rotors. It turned out to be the screw that adjusts idle mixture.

Only paid $100. Of course it needs a few things. Engine rebuild, tranny, passenger door, tail lights, interior, and of course wheels and tires. Just a few things.
