Who got the best deal on their FC???
Alright, im just curious how much all of you paid originally for your FC, not how much you paid in total mods and crap(cause damn, some of you have gone all out on these things)
I think i got a pretty good deal on mine, heres my 66 dollar dream. It runs and drives, but its gonna need a rebuild, smokes too damn much, but lets see some good deals.

I got my 87 GXL for 525 at a police auction. I would have gotten it alot cheaper but the sister of the guy they used to own it was bidding against me. The inside was a little ruff and burgandy but I got it home and started it right up. Never had trouble with the motor. I did however tear up the tranny , well a girl i was seeing did. The body was in good shape as well. I think I got a good deal. I guess the cops are good for something.

Got my 88TII for $4000. I had to go out to Iowa City from Albuquerque NM to get it but it was a fun bus ride. The car had everything working, a/c too, new tires (whoopdeedoo), 91000 miles with a mazda factory remanufactured engine replacement done at 75000 miles new rear calipers and cheap but fresh paint job.

i payed 3800 for my 87TII with 61k miles in perfect condition. All it needed was a new antenna mast :-D. I was very fortunate to have an uncle who took very good care of the car. I dont think it EVER spent a night ouside before I got it, and rarely even saw rain.

I got my GXL for $300 not running, perfect interior, but alittle paint missing on the exterior. The best deal I've ever made except for my $200 dolar 83 280zx. That car is fun as hell.

I got the best deal on mine. I started out with an 86 base model I picked up for $400 that had a bad water seal. I rebuilt the engine for about another $400 and then traded it even up for my TII which needed a clutch and a new exhaust gasket. I had it running in 3 days. Now I probally have about $20k in work done to it.

I got a 88 T2 for $500 with a blown engine. Replaced that with a J spec engine for $750. sold the car for $1600 cash
I also got a 87 GXL for $300 needed tires, owner thought engine was blown, but wasn't. Sold this one also for $2000.
I also got another 88 SE for $400 from a guy who kept it in garage for over 14 years, was crying when we came and got it. It was low on oil and won't start, didn't need anything and just had $2500 in suspension parts and all the mounts replaced 6 months before we got it from him. He also thought the engine was blown.
Gave this one to my good friend for the price I paid for it.

I bought my 91 vert for 6000. I got it from the original owner with everything on there still original. The tires were still from factory and everything else. Nothing was changed yet. Oh, yea forgot to mention that it had 36,000 miles on it.
