Who got the best deal on their FC???
Got my 88 vert from a guy who thought the motor was blown for $500. 172k miles, idle rough and smoked BAD. Turned out the motor was fine, although tired. The problem? The AFM was gummed up and one of the leading plugs had NO electrode, put in another AFM out of a junker and the car started fine!
Got a 91 vert with no motor for $475, took all the good parts off it (tails, good top, mirrors, interior, extra set of BBSs and caps) sold a bunch of parts off it, then traded the carcass for a tight 88 motor with 88K miles for the first car!
So I've got about $17-1900 total in the 88 vert, that's including the brand new brakes and wheel bearnings, alt, radiator+electric fan, battery, Reldine fluids, all belts and hoses, etc (including the cool S5 parts).. And the parts I sold off the 91 paid to install the nice motor w/88K miles!

I got my 87TII in 88' for $14,000.00. Had 15k miles on it. Car was perfect then and is only slightly worse for wear now. I put 105K miles on the first motor. Got about 4k on the second. I will probably have it until I get it the way I want it or some ricer will offer lots of money for it. By then I will be ready for my Porsche.

I paid $1,500.00 for mine. 86 N/A (1200 for the car itself and 300 for not even out of the box 15" Motegi MR-7's and not even touched Perilli P8000 tires) Been about 2 months now and i had to replace: battery, alternator, starter, oil pan, oil pan gasket, sparkplugs, and brakes. Nothing major, but a helluva lot of minor upkeep items.
Great body except for minor dings in passenger door and rusty right rear wheel well. Interior is decent and is going to be fixed up to my liking.

I just got a 1990 gtu for 450, it was flooded, the had just painted it right before the flood, so it didnt have the gtu embels so i tought it was a gxl, but i ran the vin # and it came out to be a gtu, car looks NEWWWWW ill post some pics later,
The guy wanted $2800obo for my TII. I convinced him it needed a rebuild because of bad water seals(which I believed myself). Offered him $1400(I bet I coulda got it for $1000). He accepted and a radiator and water pump later its 100%. Silver with gray interior. Great exterior, pretty damn good interior(except the radio surround, which I have another). Oh and the engine was just rebuilt a few hundred miles before I got it, the owner just thought they did it wrong.
$1,000.00 for a running 1987 Turbo II with 184,000 miles on the orginal engine! It only needed brake pads and struts otherwise, interior in excelent condtion and very small dent in the side fender and a little rust on the roof.

mine was essentialy free... it was given to me then the guy wanted $100 for it, I didn't have $100 to give him, so we agreed on $50.... turned out he never paid sales tax on it, so for him to get the title in his name to give to me, he had to pay sales tax....
so..... I paid sales tax for him and registered it in my name and we called it even

Purchased an 89 GTUs w/ a 60k Jspec TII in it for 6,000. 113k on the chassis, Tokico Gas Struts w/ Intrax Springs. GReddy BOV, Tenzo Intake full 2.5" exhaust w/ Borla Cat-back. Runs about 250hp at 5.5psi w/o IC. This was a project car for him, he has an FD.Good stereo and always starts. Drove to Chicago from St. louis to get it. Goooood interior, good exterior expect the last guy who painted it totally screwed up, he must have forgot to put a clear coat or only a fine one because he over buffed a lot of places and the paint is thinning to gray in some spot and a few of them(small) have rusted
All I need to have a 12 second sleeper is a FMIC, TII full drivetrain, better boost contoller, and some fuel work(to be honsest I don't know what I need to get for the fuel work as in injectors, mixture, pumps......ect...) Very strong runner, but it makes me sad I can't boost it. My goal is 11's before I rebuild and port the engine, and a turbo upgrade. The only problem. GETTING THIS THING LEGAL IS IMPOSSIBLE, IT HAS TAKEN ME ALMOST 3 MONTHS AND I HAVE FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT I NEEDED, A WATER PUMP, I BOUGHT THIS TOP AIR PUMP BRACKET AND WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR AND FOUND OUT LATER I DIDN'T NEED IT AHHHHHHHHH!
But next friday hopefully I'll be the official I-4 KLR or I-4 ETR

$450CDN 90 GX, seized front rotor, 180,000km, immac otherwise, saving up for rebuild then plane on selling. Previous owner got told it would cost $6000 for a new engine. Freind told me about it sitting behind the mazda dealer...
$450 CDN 88 10th Ani, awesome motor, needed front fenders and bumper, 225,000km but has been rebuild at unknown mileage. RB exhaust, hks intake, additional injectors, hks f-con and other gagets. Prev owner sold it to me for parts only, said he couldn't get motor started, took it home and did oil change and some marvel myster oil and fired right up. Looking for front end parts and saving for new paint.
