walbro help!!!

ok ive searching for this for about 2 hour and havent come up with anything. so first off im sorry if i may have looked in the wrong place but i need some answers to get my car running. alright i have a 89 GXL that i just swapped a 13B-RE cosmo in. i was ready to start it and turned the key and i hear nothing. no fuel pump at all. so i rechecked my wires and teest them to find im not getting power to the pump. but i am to the clip at the top (on the outside of the tank) i wired it up like the instructions said but IDK??? anyone have some pics or know of a write up?? could io have something backwards. its at a shop so ill be working on it more tommarrow.

Thanks

Brian

well run straight power to the pump... just for a second to see if it runs ... if it doesnt then its the pump... if it does then your wiring is wrong... of course recheck everything... ground to ground... power to power... and no twisted connections with electrical tape over them... CRIMP and then TIGHTLY wrap electical tape overthem (stretch as you go). Ive done it twice and had no problems. And make sure the connector is ALL THE WAY IN. Good luck with the RE. Pics if you have some time!

worked with direct voltage from a batt or work pluged into the connector... I'm not sure on the voltage... it may be one of those thing where at idle it runs the pump slower... I forget but i THINK i may have gotten that same reading. Do the same test and have someone floor the throttle... see if it goes 12v then... and yes I do live in GA... Right now Im in carrollton at the University of West Georgia but in the summers Im in PTC. My brother lives in kennsaw though... if you give up he is a Master Mechanic at America's Service Center in Woodstock (exit 8 off 575). He KNOWS HIS SH*T. If you go that route let me know... But I hope you can solve it without having to spend $$$ though.

it worked plugged into the connector. i think im going to wire it to a toggle switch. this way it can double as a anti theft device also. ive worked on the pump for 3-4 hours and got it to work and put it all back the way it was and it quit working.
