Turbo size for 300whp@15pis?

hi, on my 87 turbo TII i am trying to get information on some turbocharger upgrade options. my car has all the stuff thats in my sig. as well as some other things that are going to happen too it be for i get a bigger turbocharger. I want to not go anymore then 15psi sence its always going to have 93oct. and be street driven. Obvously my goal is 300whp+, but i would like to do it with no more then 15psi, my optimum presure would be more like 12psi. thankyou in advance.

P.S. yes i know is says pis insted of psi, typo my bad.

Hybrid would do that, and it's the least amount of fuss to install.

If you're looking at full turbo upgrade (with aftermarket turbo exhaust manifold and external wastegate), there's a lot of options...

T04B V-trim / H-trim
T04E "57" / "60"
60-1 / 62-1
TS04
GT35R / GT40 / GT42
Mitsubishi TD-06SH
Bunch of Borg Warner crap that I don't know too well - S400?

i think a hybrid would work well for 300hp...

we just looked into that, theres a car in the driveway with a 350hp goal, and a lot of the COMPRESSORS that look good for 300hp come with a TURBINE thats smaller than stock!

we settled on a gt35, which is pretty proven, my choice would have been a to4e 54, nice big hotside....

For 300 rwhp @ 15 psi?

Theres a guy on the forum that did 295rwhp on a BNR stage 1 @ 10psi. So a stage 1 BNR hybrid should get you to your goal, a Stage 2 will give you a little more headroom. Check out this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/bnr-turbo-dyno-sheets-please-629521/

bnr stage 3 or 4. if i were you i would make sure to get a turbo that is good for a bit more power than you want to make b/c it is addictive. you always want more

thanx guys, i am thinking of a complet upgrade (manifold, turbo, external wastegate), i would prolly want somthing that give me as quick as spool as posible (large hot side i think?). I'm prolly gonna leave the internals of the engine stock (ie stock ports, stock weights) because i'm prolly gonna rebuild somtime in the future. i also would like sizes more then anything because i want to upgrade to a ball bering turbo vs sleeve bering.

Manifold/turbo/wastegate is a lot more money and work than you think. What is your budget?

Im not planning on doing any work on my car soon. This is purely info gathering. I'm just looking to get prices and performance ratings to figure out what are my best options.

50 trim to4E will easily do 300rwhp @ 15psi.

divided tubular manifold, small(ish) ball bearing turbo, small(ish) hotside. it will probably spool as fast as stock with way more top end.

for such a modest power goal though I'd just do a BNR stage 2 and call it a day. the only reason why I am doing a full turbo upgrade (T04S with HKS cast mani) is because I'm aiming for 400+ with a big streetport and race gas
