Turbo ? Please help

So I've got a stock t2 turbo in my garage that i picked up from an auction and i want to use it. I need to get a gasket for between the turbo and the down pipe. My only problem is im not sure if it's a s4 turbo or a s5 turbo. Is there any differences or any way i can tell witch one is witch thanks. Jeremy

Several ways to tell, one is the S5 hotside is larger because it has a dual wastegate. Also the wastegate arm is a little bent. Also the exhaust flange is square, the S4 exhaust is a little more rounded... I think that is pretty much it...

To sum it up look for the dual wastgate, if its there then its a S5.

Gasket from the turbo to the downpipe is the same - S4 and S5.

The turbine housing has a different footprint on the exhaust manifolds but the mating surface to the downpipe is the same configuration.

Does it really matter what series it is?

Same downpipe gasket for either one.

When mounting it to an exhaust manifold it matters.

Mr Griffith apparently wants to stop his downpipe from leaking - not remove the turbo.

For the turbo manifold it matters, but for the DP it is all the same between s4 and s5.
