Turbo inlet pipe split.. Need Help

So I was working on my car and noticed that the turbo inlet pipe was ductaped at the turbo. Needless to say it was all burnt up. I was wondering what anyone could tell me about going to hard pipe. I need to know how to go about the recirculation of the bov. I actually have a fmic i have been meaning to put on and was wondering it this would be a good time to just go ahead and get a new bov and do the whole job.

Bonzai Racing may still sell a hard pipe replacement. Or they may not, I don't know.

Most people just replace it with a good used part or make one out of plumbing parts (ABS).

You can of course buy one new at the dealer, as well.

I made one from 3" mandrel bent exhaust pipe a while back. It worked pretty good, but the new fmic got in the way of that, so I had to go all ghetto and get a 2.5-3" adapter from autozone, their shortest filter, a short piece of 3" pipe, along with a 3.125" silicone coupler.

Here's a before and after pic.

There are always available from online auctions:

You can always cut the pipe shorter if you need to for a FMIC but it's a good start.

Your afm is different because you have an S5, those afms are from S4s. Went from a flap to a cone.

you would have two options:

let it vent to atmosphere and get that cool PSHHH sound and some popping

plumb it back into the intake just like the stock system did and be done with it.

It's metered air, already been through the meter once. That's why it pops if you vent to atmosphere, your engine is overshooting fuel due to the missing air it was expecting.
