Tuning Q

I am gonna be tuning my Haltech, and I need to know what EGTs to look for under idle, cruise, no load, medium load, full load (or by varying boost amounts up to 15psi)

Thanks,
Kris

EGTs, not A/Fs.

For my A/F ratios, from 2500 to 3500 I am going for a steady decline from 14.1:1 down to around 11.8:1. From 3500 to redline I am going for 11.8:1. I need to know good EGTs, so I can richen up the mixture at higher rpms.

Okay, so I just figured out why you said that. It makes a lot more sense now. Thanks.

?? the mixture you want is the 11.8 or so... you don't want to richen it, because that is the number you want when you tune. after tuning look at your egts. they are the numbers you want... unless your timming is off

isnt stoich 12:1. Why would you want to enrich the mixture. You would only add more gas than you need.

richening fuel mixtures past shoich acts as an anti-detonant. (stoich is closer to 15 than 12
btw)

Timing is supposed to be spot-on with the map I am using. I just wasn't even thinking about the two being so directly related when timing is already set properly.

Thanks,
Kris
