Experience /w silencer's for muffler's?

Hey, I got straight pipe, ya its loud, not fun on the highway when driving like 3 hours, so I was thinking about getting some silencer's for my muffler's I have magnaflow muffler's and their are some silencer's available for them, and I am wandering if they are actually worth it, how much do they reduce the sound, and does it sound decent or like utter crap? Thanks.

I put one in along with a presilencer.

It changes the note of the exhaust too. I still think my setup is too loud for my daily driver.

It is however, quiter than my SR20's free flowing exhaust.

Is dual exhaust quiter or louder than single? Or is it mostly the manufacturer?

MT DUALS are not that loud. I can cruise and make them sound like the stock sound. If you floor it they it is loud.

EDIT: DUALS= Twin RB pre-silencers and two RB mufflers=nice sounding exhaust and will not make your ears hurt.

P.S. Flames RULE!!!!

i have a 3" straight pipe no muffler at all, it's not too loud to me i just shift at 3k-4k when on regular streets or during the day, but i also retain stock cat and precat.

on my experiences with the silencers (apex type), it does help, but it also adds back pressure. but if you are annoyed by the sound on the highway then i suggest either getting a pre-silencer or one you can put on or remove on your tip.

yeah silencers work wonders. you'll be able to drive long distances without the headache. i need to get some too, but $100 for a pair of silencers is alot. shouldnt be more than $25 a piece. you might be able to buy a differnet brand silencer that is cheaper as long as it is the same size as your outlet (tip).

The only silencers i heard when in sort of gave it a thinner tone, not very deep, but not raspy either. (apexi n1's)
