Yep, too much. The stock compressor loses efficiency big time past ~12psi, adding lots of heat but not much more power. The stock intercooler will be useless at cooling air compressed to 15psi. High intake temps are to be avoided at all costs because this is one of the biggest causes of detonation. One hard ping will kill a rotary before you can lift off. Also that sort of boost requires very high turbo shaft speeds, higher than the stock seals and bearings are designed for. Your turbo probably won't last more than a few months if you push it that hard frequently. Finally the stock fuel system (especially the pump) won't keep up, resulting in a lean-out and detonation.

This is not to be offensive, but why do people from Austraila like to get as much boost as possible? It just seems I see lots of people from there that run 15+ boost on the stock turbo & intercooler. I remember one was running like 14 or 15psi and only made 210hp.

you have stock injectors, stock ecu, stock fuel pump??? drop it back to 8 before you blow it up.... don't run over 10 on the stock IC, or 12 on the stock turbo.

I'm getting up to 12.5 in 4th before it bleeds back down to 10-11. I haven't noticed any detonation. EGT has only reached 810 degree on a super long highway pull. Probe is located right behind stock o2 sensor.

I'm trying to run 10psi. Running easly 12 to 14psi.

Ported the wastegate so we will see how I'm running when I try it.

I thought that at 12psi should not be a problem with FMIC.

I'm running a Greddy VSPL FMIC though.

P.S
15psi stock car = Dead motor.
