TID mod and homemade bov

Alright well I did search so don't try that "try the search" stuff I didn't find what I am looking for though. Alright I want to do the TID mod. I read a write-up that said I need a 3" 45* piece of PVC, a 3"-2.5" silcone reducer, a 3" silcone hose, and various hose clamps. What else would I need? I know I need some sort of check valve, what for and what size? Is there a site with some good pics so I know exactly what to do? What about the stock BOV? I would like to make a homemade BOV while I am at it, so what else would I need to do that? Thanks alot for any input.

I would love to hear the answer to this...i wanna do the same thing...u need 2 vacuum nipples....one for the stock blow off vavle and the other for the stock boost controller...thats on the 89-91 models....i think the 89-91 model only has one though..

"There are 2 things that plumb into the duct - the compressor bypass valve and the PCV breather tube"

"You'll need to figure out how to plumb in the emissions fittings (one for 1986-1988 models, and two for 1989-1991 models) and the stock compressor bypass valve (i.e. stock blow-off valve), if you're planning to keep them intact."

You probably have all the sites but here are the ones i have found and the top 2 are the best with pics...

Um, why? That's a pretty serious undertaking. You'd need to machine all the components up from aluminium using a milling machine and a lathe. Quite precise engineering is required to make one work properly and not leak. A guy I know made his own, but he's a machinist by trade, and said it was alot of work for a one-off.

I was thinking of doing it but using a cut-up old cylinder head for the valve and seat, or maybe a butterly valve, which would be easier to actuate because you can make the diaphragm external, similar to how factory wastegates work.

Yes it's a lot of work to save $200

edit: Actually the cylinder head idea would be sweet for an external wastegate, come to think of it Heck you could even make the wastegate water cooled!

If you look at my turbo status #4, you will see my TID...It's basiclly self explanitory, though I don't know if it will fit a stock TII.
