It's very expensive. See the "FAQ" post at the top of the forum.

There was never a twin-turbo FC sold to the public anywhere in the world.

But there was bound to have been a few FC's used by Mazda as test mules when developing the FD engine. I doubt they still exist though.

The FD RX-7 engine is a difficult swap into the FC. But the very similar 13B twin-turbo used in the JC Cosmo is much easier to fit. There's a few of those around.

Then you're wrong. there WERE piston rx7's from the factory. in fact, check out www.pipercross.com. they have listings of applications for their air filters, and amongst those, are piston engines.

As Jason said, there were never production FCs with piston motors. Any company listing a filter for a FC in a piston application is incorrect, and simular to NOPI listing a timing belt for the FC.

However there were a couple of FC/747 test mules, built for both Mazda and Porsche with piston engines. These were never driven by the public though.

I would think so because they are the same size. unless the bolts are in a different place.

Well I would guess, If your swapping in an engine why would you stay with Twins when you can just get a better single?
I understand the twins help with mid and high cause of diff size turbos, but why swap a whole engine for a couple more horse than what a Tii is putting out?

Dunno, My thoughts.

Because the twins come with the engine. A big single is big $$$.

250hp vs. 180-200hp is not a couple more... Plus it's a better base to build from. If you're going to buy another motor, why not buy the best you can?
