i know my carb is WHACK i have the crappest gas milage ever..... i will go to my friends house go to eat then take him home and the take myself home and i will be at 1/2 tank and when i left it is full.......??? everytime i let off the gas it backfires little tiny poofs but nothing big so i think my air/fuel ratios are way off... how many turns out do i do from then screwed all the way in?? and how do u do it??
The same is happening to me lately and even when I am driving in the highway and let go the gas it dose that too. Not sure why is doing that but I been noticing that lately. Anyone have any ideas?

i jsut read the carb facts on mazspeed.com and they said if u have a rythmic misfire it could be a missing apex....when is almost what i have everytime u left off the gas it pops 2 or 3 times in a row as the rpm's drop

You guys are experiencing problems beyond the tuning of the screws. Rember, those screws are for tuning the idle, that's all.

Of course you can. You have an idle adjustment screw to change at what rpm it idles and a mixture adjustment screw to change the air/fuel ratio at idle. What Sterling is so encryptically saying is that the mixture screw adjusts the idle circuit mixture only, i.e. below 2k rpms. To change air/fuel ratio at higher rpms you'd have to change fuel jets.
Get ahold of the manual for tuning procedure, or do a search. If then you have any questions, feel free to post them away.
