Project Unicorn; the $800 t2 i just picked up

Just picked up an 87 black on black t2 for $800 (my girlfried's gift to me for my birthday)....needs lots of love.

Drove it back from Sudbury; dude had to live on the steepest narrowest road ever.....

Look at the angle the houses are in in reference to the slope of the road.....and the truck is only 2wd....good times; and yes, I went up alone; took me almost 2 hours just to get it on the trailer.

Looks like something went through there....

179000 original km.

It's my first fc in almost 6 years since I wrecked my 89 na-->t2 swapped car.....wish me luck; hoping to have it on the road in the spring....

Wow that's awesome!!!
It was listed as $1000 firm, the conversation went like this:

"how about $800?"
"yeah, ok"

should have offered him 5.

It needs a huge list of stuff; and from the looks of the turbo, probably an engine....But right now I can barely lift my arm, from pushing it into the garage, so i think i'll go do some wiring on my white merkur.

Its still a deal in my opinion. I would just rebuild the engine.
I remember my 1st t2 lol... good times. I feel asleep in my garage

Whoa scary engine bay lol. Although the straight body makes it worth it.

What are your plans?

As good as the body looks, it has its problems; mostly those huge dents underneath both doors and right front fender. But overall not bad.....i bought it for the sole reason that the body was good.

First thing is to get it back together and running perfect in stock form....then who knows, probably megasquirt and a bigger turbo.....it's kinda a backburner project right now; I have a 1987 XR4Ti that im in the process of putting back together. When that's done it'll be onto the FC.
