Temp Guage Not Working. Need Help!

Question Temp Guage Not Working. Need Help!

When I got the car the temp guage worked fine, but now right when I turn the key to the on position, the needle goes up has high as it can. Bad sending unit? Need you guys' help please!

shouldn't matter i'm using two of the exact same temp gauges... one for oil and the other for coolant.

Dumb question, but did you check to make sure the wire was hooked to the sender? 9 times out of 10 the wire comes loose.

More then likely. Check and see if it is even connected still. The wire is yellow with red stripe it is a bullet connector located next to the oil pressure sending unit to the right of T2.

See what your gauge does now. If it does not move then it is the sender. www.mazdatrix.com

I personally would not worry too much about it and go buy a aftermarket temp gauge.
