Are you S4 or S5?
I had a similar situation when I connected my fuses in the wrong order. (fuse box in engine bay) Apparently S5 and S4 are different.
The S4 has 2 fuses for ign and egi, where the S5 uses a single fuse. Verify that you have them installed correctly.
Did you swap motors at all? or is your car on a factory motor? If you did a swap, maybe you missed a plug when you connect your harness down by the fire wall?

I now have a silly idea.. Wonder if a Timeing Light will work with the Injector wires to pick up the signal?? That would be cool...
Just for kicks Undo the spark plug wire at the COIL and hold it back from the coil and have someone crank it over and tell me if it jumps?

Can't be fixed without using digital meter.
You turn the key ON......that feeds the ENGINE fuse......which in turn pulls in the MAIN RELAY......which in turn feeds power from the two EGI fuses to .........feed the ECU, injectors and lead/trail coil assy's. You then spin the engine and the CAS outputs a voltage to the ECU which sees that and pulses a gnd signal to the coils to make them fire.
The ground wires for the INTERNALS of the ECU are on a ring terminal on the rear ROTOR housing and can be seen on Aaron Cakes home site. It's *ring* terminal* with two black wires on the ring that gets bolted to the rotor housing. Only can be seen by removing the upper intake. Or verifiyed by looking at the gnd wires on the small plug of the ECU with a meter.
The ECU gnd is also shown in the attached jpg. It's not bolted down in that picture.

we accidentally found a way to check.
not sure if its bad for your car or not though.
take plug wires off coils and crank.
we saw the sparks clear as day.
grounds, on our s4 n/a's not sure of yours.
are on driver's side strut tower thing.
one also closer to the driver.
and the third is back near or on the clutch slave cylinder.
i think.

Your not telling us what voltage your seeing at the coil (small wires held down with nuts on the coil assy) and not telling us what voltage your seeing on the small plug of the ECU. See the FSM, FUEL AND EMISSIONS SECTION, SUB SECTION CALLLED CONTROL UNIT.
Then follow the words on those pages. Match what your seeing with what is called for in the section called CONTROL unit. Just doing that small plug on the ECU should tell volumes.
I forget if it's been mentioned, but do you see small bumps of the tach needle when you spin the engine with the starter. Should. If you do, then there is spark. Can't have the tach needle bump and not have spark (at least on the Trail coil assy).
