i think there was a steering wheel pic thread only a few months ago.

I would try to get a JDM Momo wheel, direct bolt on with no hubs, for me I am so used to driving a FC that the hub places the wheel too close to my body and it does not feel right- this is the case with my coupe and its universal Momo wheel, but my vert with its JDM momo wheel feels awesome

yeah.. i was thinking that too.. because the wheel on the FCC is already so close to the driver... i just dont want to pay a ridiculous amount.

Quality costs my friend. If you want a name brand prepare to pay for it (new) or find a used one.

I have this wheel. It's okay. If I could go back I would have just gotten a plain round wheel made of suede. The 'ergo grip' isn't really that great for the wheel + needs some getting used to.

My two cents- which coincidentally consists of two observations...

Neither the Grant not the Momo hub I've tried seem to fit the spines as well as the OEM wheel.
Especially the Grant, which I was always having to retighten. I even went so far as to get a new Nylock nut, thinking that was the problem but it wasn't.

Also, no aftermaket wheel has the hub offset that the stocker does.
Even a 370mm wheel (which is not a particularly common size) will obscure the upper part of the gauge cluster.
This drove me crazy.

there used to be a guy Jesse Lau who sold parts out of japan, not sure if he was still around but I considered my deal with him VERY fair and he was quick too

i honestly do not like the momo wheel. i have a mazdaspeed wheel on my vert and the infini wheel on my coupe. i don't mind the wheel being closer to me but i can't always hit the turn signal switch with my hand on the wheel when using a quick release. nice steering wheels aren't cheap but get whichever one YOU like.

I really want to get a new steering wheel in my car and don't want it any closer to me when I am in the seat. I found this used one on ebay but it says its for an fd, but don't all the fds have air bags in the oem wheels? So is this one for the fc? I have and s5 vert so do you guys think it will fit?
