starting issues

so after searching for a little while i could really find anything

my car at first would start and run while it was doing the axcellerated warm-up till it quit than I would have to hold the throttle open to keep it running

well last night i tired to start it and it just pops a little but but never actually starts, my dad once played around with the variable resistor and told me he leaned the car out.

Is this the problem or am I having other issues?

thanks
Dennis

if it isnt flooding might be a vacuum leak. when you crank your engine does your starter sound normal?

pulling out plugs to see whats on them will tell you if its flooded or not, in some cases it could be flooded so bad, that plugs won`t fire at all even if u disconnect fuel pump and keep trying.....old fuel in tank could be issue as well

pulling plugs out, unflood without them and try again with them cleaned

squirt some oil in the spark plug holes, turn the motor over by hand, then put new plugs in and crank with your foot to the floor. if that doesn't work check your compression and punch your mom in the face. thx u plz
