starter wont engage? and if you hit it with hammer it magnets to it?
i need pics of you starters for s4 turbos perfer them to be hooked up so i can see the way it looks. mine smokes a little if you try to crank it for 2 secs.
please help me after i fix this my project will be completed i hope... and it will run for the first time

Disconnect the battery & pull it off.
Then clean it & bench check it at your neighborhood parts store.
If is worn out, hit the "for sale/WTB" forum.

any have a pic or know the wiring diagram so i can tell if i have it hooked up right? its been apart to long for me to remember.
