Spark plugsf or NA

I was wondering if anyone had instructions on installing spark plugs, i'm new to the rotary scene and don't wanna screw up the car, it seems pretty tight in there.

Its the same as on any other engine. I think the plugs come pre-gapped as well. Oh and you have to get 2 leading and 2 trailing. Ask the person at the auto parts store which is which and write it on each box. Follow the "T1" for the 1st trailing plug. Change it, put the wire back on. Follow the "T2" for the second trailing. Change it, put the wire back on, etc, etc.

Also, make sure to coat the threads of the spark plugs with anti-sieze - you can get that at any auto parts store. Since you're putting a steel plug into an aluminum housing, it can corrode and stick over time, which makes it a BEAR to remove, and can possibly damage the threads in the housing.

i already purchased the ngk plugs which are supposedly the same plugs for all rx-7's upto 95, is it true my non turbo 89 uses the same plugs as a twin turbo 95? Also do you know which numbers correlates to which set (trailing/leading) of plugs?

make sure you see how the plugs go the front "coilpack" is your leading coils and the rear is trailing coils there is a white dot on the #1 coil that is the wire you put on the first spark plug or plug to the left and the rest is a piece of cake of course (lower) leading on bottom (top) trailing on top easy way to remember it to me

Download the engineelectrical chapter from the FSM available here:

While you're at it, replace the wires if they look original.

Hey I just changed mine out like a week ago and im a little concerned now. I tightened mine up pretty tight. Is that ok? I used anti seize on the threads and dielectic grease on the boot.

Should be ok, as long as it didn't strip. You can usually feel a stripped bolt, as it suddenly "gives" and becomes easy to turn.

Your two liquids were correct.

Next time, just use a torque wrench to be safe. You don't need to reef on a spark plug, 10 ft.lbs isn't very much.
