Haha there not old beat up motor there is something wrong witht he fuel injection that i need to find out what it is, the motor that i just put in and blew was in perfect shape.

The plain right now is

Heavily streetported S4 NA, maybe a S5 NA
Having Turbo rebuilt with a 60-1 cold side
Rtek 1.7 ecu
Water Methanol injection
Custom Tubalur Turbo Manifold
plus much more

I was before doing roughly about 250-275 rwhp and i plain to hit somewhere close to 350-400 on the new setup.

what I want to know is if you have an STI, then why are you putting money into the old beater car?

(of course, I might be mislead by the abundance of cheap aftermarket knock-offs for posers)

no i' don't believe its fuel pump i'm sure its the secondary fuel injector on the front rotor.

I have a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5rs with complete upgraded suspension work and many more mods, but the RX-7 its still funner and faster.

I love you guys!

My project I purchased last year is a'89 GTU 13B, 6 port, locked motor, pristine body, $500. Purchased new exaust ported rotor housings, & rebuild kit. Then bud hooks me '91 Turbo II that runs. I already know I can use the rotor housings to rebuild the Turbo II. I have been very curious about the high compression rotors being used in a turbo engine and the good or bad of combining with the 6 port.

You might be fine for very low boost, i had a lot of issue of leaning out up top above 5k with the na ecu, like 14 afrs

Do you have any experience at all with the 'Squirt, or are you just repeating? Because if you are just repeating, please stop it. Like ANY standalone, installing the Megasquirt is not for the beginner as a wiring harness must be made, appropriate connectors used, proper fusing, etc. And of course there's the tuning, which is not a small part of the whole thing.

This kind of project in general isn't for a beginner (though they all try to act cool and do it anyway)

7 degrees advanced at idle? 5 degrees stock? do you mean 7 and btdc? it is suppose to be 5 AFTER top dead center, so 5 degrees retarded...

well we all learn from mistakes right? if it blows all well at least i died trying.thats why im asking all these questions and tring to take in as much info as possible to prevent and learn. so what all do i need if i use the tII ecu? is this gonna need a fcd now if i use one?could someone just make a list of what ill need to make it work? and how will the ecu react to the 720"s?

i second that. here's another question - i'm also gonna use the tii manifold set-up to turbo my n/a. i see you guys are using another way of feeding coolant cuz the n/a housing doesnt have the hole that the tii lower manifold uses; has anyone here thought about jus drilling a hole through the housing to get the coolant? i just took apart a 6-port and to me it seems like you can. any thoughts or concerns?
