Smoke

Ok this thread isn't as drastic as it sounds. But sometimes after i drive the car hard for a few minutes then take a look under the hood there seems to be some smoke coming out from underneath. Its not a lot of smoke..its as if something is burning somewhere. Now my engine is leaking a bit of oil in a few places ( I noticed this because of the little oil stains on my driveway). Anyway the smoke seems like its coming from the exhaust manifold (or watever its called on a rotary)..but i could be wrong. Seeing as how the entire engine block is hot as hell it could very well be coming from anywhere.
My question is...is this normal or should i be worried about something? Also, how do i fix this oil leak and is THAT normal?

i would try to smell the fumes (no........not to get high).

When i bought my car it did that. Turned out i had a small engine fire 1k miles or so later. I guess it was fuel........never did solve the problem until i re-did the engine.

Could also be that nasty coolant line underneath the ic to the rear rotor houseing.

I did smell the fumes. Smells really burnt. My guess would be that its oil getting burnt up on a really hot surface (i've smelt this before after burning some food ). Im assuming that gas still smells like burnt gas even if it comes off a hot surface. I could be wrong, but in my experience oil gives off that kinda smell when its cooked pretty good. I dunno tho.
By the way, i dont have an ic
Thanks for the reply

also...the smoke is really light..but it has a black or really dark colour to it.

well mabey you have a oil leak near the exhaust manifold or the cats\pipes.. jack up your car and look at it mabey you will see oil leaks or wet spots..
or mabey the oil cooler fittings are leaking and while your driving the oil streams down underneath your car getting everywhere also hot spots that will burn the oil such as the exhaust pipes..

and is it white??
black???
BLUE!! lmao

You're probably dripping oil onto your downpipe/manifold

Hahaha, Ok..its lights in quantity and dark in colour. Looks black..but then again i was looking at night

Ya I probably am leaking oil onto my exhaust manifold. Hey is it a good idea to take some engine degreaser and clean up the exhaust manifold a bit? Maybe that will help get rid of some of this smoke.

I could also be coolant coming out from the cap. My car is leaking coolant onto the increadibly hot exhaust below and it comes out as white smoke. Check it during the day and see what color it is.

Thats a good point. My cap is busted and its leaking coolant. Im gonna replace it as soon as possible cuz its causing my engine to over-heat.
