Short Shift Kit?
So what's the deal?
I notice the 4 types (easily found) on the market are:
ebay: $39-50
RX7 Store - $79
Rotary Shack - $165
Mazdatrix - $192
What is everyone running now days? All the searches I did pulled up threads with long dead links.
Thanks in advance.

I was running an ebay one for a few months but a plastic part on it got eaten by the gear oil in the shifter turret.
said fuckit and got the rotary shack one which has been sweet af. The plastic part is metal on the rotary shack one. less notchy and doesn't rattle as bad as the ebay one did too
the dude took awhile to ship it but I think hes just an old shool bro so its all good.

I tend to agree with this. The factory shift is fairly short anyway. Short shifters tend to make the shifting notchier and an FC gearbox is already very notchy. I'm going back to a factory shifter because I prefer the feel and saw no performance benefit from a short shifter.

I personally think the stock shifter is perfect. Just picked up another FC and the car has an unknown short shifter in it and it is god awful. Extremely notchy and just a general annoyance to use. I'm assuming it's an ebay shifter, since the previous owner was the type to cut corners and save money in any way possible. But, if you're deadset on a short shifter, go with either Mazdatrix or Rotaryshack. Also, as ericgrau mentioned, you can use a Miata shifter as well, but I don't recall the exact generation of Miata.
