Short shift kit?

So, which short shift kit is the best?

I see that RX7 store carries the B&M and the Mazdaspeed kits.

However, the B&M is $40 cheaper. Which one is better?

I am buying a 1993 RX7 that has a pretty floppy shifter, so I would like to replace it right away.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hey Patrick,
Might want to consider the Mazdatrix short shofter. Works the same and is a hell of a lot cheaper. I have been running with one for almost 2 years now. No issues or problems.

Cool. Thanks.

I went to Mazdatrix website, and I can't find a price. I hate their website.

But it looks like a good deal. I saw the price you list on your website is $209. That is a bit cheaper than mazdaspeed or the B&M.

I will probably go with the Mazdatrix one...

Thanks,
Patrick

I bought the B&M b/c one of my friend's got to try out both (mazdaspeed) and liked the B&M better. I've had it for 5 mo, it's a quality piece and cheaper. just my input.

So, do you like the Pettit shifter or what?

Is it a good piece? How much did it cost?

Thanks,
Patrick

I'm new to sports cars. So you guys like the short shift kits for daily driving? My stock shifter is feeling rather clunky, and 200 bucks or so seems reasonable to fix the problem.
