If all you need is essentially a TII drive shaft that mounts to a N/A rear end like djSL mentioned. Mazdatrix has you covered. Just pick your poison. Steel or Aluminum
DRIVESHAFT, 86-92 NON TURBO WITH TURBO TRANSMISSION - Mazdatrix
DRIVESHAFT ALUMINUM, 86-92 NON TURBO WITH TURBO TRANSMISSION - Mazdatrix
If you need a custom length you can get Mazdatrix to make you one or for a little more money than Mazdatrix's steel shaft you can get an aluminum one from these guys.3'' Aluminum Driveshaft - Up to 500 HP - Precision Shaft Technologies (pstds.com) I got one in my car. I supplied the front yoke, rear flange and U-joints because to me it seemed easier to just supply them than explain what I needed since you have to use a conversion U-joint due to the yoke and the driveshaft from PST using a different joint. This thread explains it pretty well. How to make your own aluminum or carbon driveshaft - RX7Club.com - Mazda RX7 Forum
I think I got my yokes and U-joints from Northern Drivetrain. Northern Drivetrain, LLC

you still need to make a coupler, shift rod extension and grind the tailhousing for clearance.

can you provide a little detail on that bronze bushing? Did you make that or source it?

I had a hunch and got lucky, I am not the OP, BTW.

I thought that these looked like little top hats. Wouldn't you know, with a search, that's it.

I am not sure if you will find the correct size though. "Top hat washer"

MCMaster Oil-Embedded Flanged Sleeve Bearings with a 18mm ID. Length wasn't that critical since I cut it flush.
I think PN 6659K687

I had a feeling that i wasn't so lucky at guess the part. The bearings are a much better solution. Since sadly the owner of Pineapple Racing has passed, there is no plug and play solution for this anymore. I will do this mod in the future with a 3.9 rear. Thanks for the post!

THANK YOU!! Definitely helped lighten the research load - I had no idea McMaster had single parts available and searchable like that! Definitely loading this arrow into the quiver!

your guess was better than mine and got me looking for better options than I could have found otherwise!

JB welded the bronze bushing to the transmission housing. Let it set with the whole assembly installed to keep the alignment. I used precision ground shaft so there’s minimal clearance to the bronze bushing. I’ll just grease it as much as I can and send it.
