Rotary Resurrection Question

Okay, I tryed to PM Mr. Landers, but he hasn't gotten around to replying to my PM. So I'll ask those have had experience or might know what I'm trying to figure out.

I went on the RotaryResurrection site and saw that it said 1000$ for a rebuild, here's my first question. Does this include all the parts neccesary for a rebuild? Such as new apex seals and such?

Now after this, it says that the long block disassembly and reassembly is 150$ and the removal and installation of the motor is 1000$, both of which I will need.

So from what I've gathered, a basic rebuild from Mr. Landers would be 2150$ if I were to leave the car for him to rebuild, as is, correct?

I'm sorry if this seems a little "noobish", but I just want to make it perfectly clear what I'm getting before I go ahead and do it, thanks.

thats the base price. that doesn't include the replacement(if needed) of any hard parts.

IIRC that is a basic rebuild which includes some(i don't know which) new seals/gaskets.

as a business owner myself, I'd say just keep your panties on for a quote

It would tick me off if someone asked a question about what someone else paid for a paint job, and then came to me with that price expecting the same.

Im sure he'll get in touch with you in due time.......

A basic rebuild is $1000. That is if you send him the engine, you pay freight both ways. So that is extra.

$1000 extra if you bring him the car and he has to remove the engine and re-install it.

$150 extra if you send him the engine with all the manifolds, fuel injection, and accessories (thats a long block)

So in conclusion (for those that can't read what his website says ) you send him the stripped down shortblock, and you get a rebuild for $1000, unless hard parts are fubar, then it is more.

Good Luck.

Noob! (had to do it)

site says he does some testing after the rebuild if you pay for him to remove and install, just reading from the site, apparently you can get a streetport done for another 300 too might as well since you're going to be paying least 1k for a rebuild. Hopefully I won't have to get a rebuild for a while, but that's probably what I'm planning on when the time comes.

Not true. I drove my car to Mr. Landers place so he could do a full TII swap over a weekend. Then I drove it right back home. I'm sure kevin will take a whole vehicle to remove\reinstall an engine but he has limited space so he probably can't have more than a couple cars to work on at once.

I'm sorry, but I just want to know if the 1000$ for the rebuild covers the internal gaskets for a rebuild? See, on the site it says he will use a "gasket kit", now, does this "kit" include all of the gaskets that are needed for a rebuild?

Besides the need of replacement for rotor housing and/or rotors, what could raise the price of that 1000$ for the rebuild?

Oh and I understand that the 150$ for the long block disassembly and the 1000$ for the installation and removal.
