Right hand drive engine harness question

Hi to all

I just bought a JDM S5 Turbo engine harness. This engine harness is made for right hand drive cars.
What do i need to do in order to make this harness fit my left hand drive s5 turbo II???Can i use it at all??

Any help will be really appreciated.

You can use it if you extend each wire in the harness. Not recommended, however, if you choose to do this, solder and heat-shrink each connection. You should also pay attention and match the color codes if at all possible.

My 88 TII has an extended harness. The PO did a good job and it works fine.

Use your n/a harness, you only need to add a few wires for 2 things I think. Search around, this is what I'm going to do when I get my engine.

i used mine I just rewrapped it ....works good for a wire tuck,
I ran it along the firewall then ran it how it was on the motor originally
no extending wires my ecu fits fine in the stock location
You would be better off using your n/a harness if you have one though cuz you would have to add the wiper harness

un wrapped the tape to where it started to branch off then retaped it
so i could move the Fem connectors, wipermotor plug and the firewall grommet to where it needed to go on the harnesss
the harness are the basically the same length they are just rapped differently

my engine bay is still under construction but you can see the engine harness along the firewall above the turbo

My car is a convertbile s5 Turbo II.
There are turbo convertibles in europe...
So my previous engine harness is just a normal s5 turbo left hand drive harness but its really in a bad shape.Thats why i wanna use the jdm harness.
My mechanic said that the rhd harness doesnt fit...i guess that he didnt want to chop and rewrap it.
Thanks for your replies

in Europa the FC runs a distributor(like FBs)if im not mistaking,in Japan they run a CAS so that could be a problem,in USA and Japan the CAS inputs are on the engine harness or emissions harness and i dont know if the euro models the inputs are set the same way so you may need to swap some wires.

No, only some of the early Zenki FC non-turbos ran distributors.
All FC turbos should run CAS' in Europe.
The problem with Euro FC's is that some were RHD and some were LHD.
It depends on which country get the cars.
When I was down in CZ, they drove LHD cars, so their Euro-spec FC's were all LHD.
Countries like UK are RHD.
...and I think Germany too is RHD?

I wouldn't **** with the RHD harness.
Unless you like electrical wiring or into self-torture, it's not worth it.
So all those sellers who try to sell you an "uncut" J-spec wiring harness, tell them it ain't worth **** cause it doesn't fit...then ask them to give it to you for free, since it's useless.
