Rebuild question

Can I just take a pressure washer to these bastard plates/housings?

I'm getting more than a little frustrated trying to clean all the years of dirt and grime off of them.

Yes, but make sure you dry them off when your done. And by dry, I mean dry....everywhere. Otherwise they will rust and become unusable.

Question: I feel stupid for asking this, but how do you remove the oil filler neck on the center iron on a N/A?

Myself and a friend have worn the bristles down (!!!!) on 3 copper brushes so far we've been at it so long. This includes using mineral spirits in a parts washer.

Again www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com

The filler neck should just come out with some tapping with a plasic hammer or something not too hard.
